The Pre-Expo Series is a series of events we are hosting each month, including business networking mixers (open bar) and Startup Roundtable events. With these events, our goal is to bring in more solid business owners and startup entrepreneurs to share knowledge and build business relationships. This series also helps us further raise awareness for November's Business Expo among the national and international entrepreneur communities.
Startup Roundtable 16
Our guest speaker for this Startup Roundtable event is John Frankel, who is a Partner at ff Venture Capital. Andrew Wong will be interviewing him and there will also be time at the end for questions from the audience. To learn more about John, please read below.
* Note: the interview and Q&A part will take at least an hour. In the past, there had been times when the Q&A took too long (such as Roundtable 13 with David Rose). It's OK. And I'm usually flexible to let audience ask as many questions as possible. That's why we call it Roundtable. So for this event, we reserve three hours for interview, Q&A, and networking. There will be beer served during the networking session. For any questions, please email us at [masked] or contact any of the organizers.

Why Exhibit at NY Business Expo 2012?
8,000 - 12,000 attendees are estimated to attend this event. According to our statistics, over 90% of our attendees are founders, c-level executives, and senior executives. It will be an ideal environment for you to build relationships and get the customers you are looking for.
We are proud to claim our expo to be the most disruptive trade show of the year! This event will bring together the small business and startup communities. The Small Business Classroom andStartup Central (two key components of the expo) are the best representations of our unique and innovative expo structure that is designed to get you the best business leads ever.
Small Business Classroom offers 32 seminars that introduce business owners to tips and techniques to help them succeed in their own games. These seminars will bring in qualified business owners who are willing to listen and learn more about your business. The educational seminars are also set up to bring more traffic to your booth!
For the first time, we will bring in close to 100 startup mentors to a business expo that will be attended by thousands of startup entrepreneurs. The mentoring sessions are intended to get you more eyeballs and build a steady traffic on the show floor. Since only 4 mentors will be coaching at the same time, the entrepreneurs who are waiting will be checking out your booths and conducting a meaningful conversation with your associates.
We will be setting up a dedicated area (press lounge) for reporters to interview you on the show floor. Good PR is one of the most effective ways to grow your business. Hundreds of reporters have been invited to this event. The press area will allow our exhibitors to share interesting stories with reporters. We also encourage you to schedule meetings with your desired press contacts beforehand to schedule a meeting with them at the press lounge.
Each exhibitor is given one free pass to the after party (held on both days), where you will be networking with business owners, investors and perhaps any business leads you didn't have a chance to meet during the day.
Our staffers have looked into different options in terms of where to host this expo. Some convention centers are large but they are inconveniently located on the west side, too far away from train stations. Some other convention centers lack the open space structure we have required to facilitate a good traffic flow for our exhibitors. As a result, we decided to go with the 69th Regiment Armory, which is conveniently located on the Lexington Ave between 25th St and 26th St. The easy-to-get-to location and the rarely-seen open and large space of the venue make it an ideal location for all our exhibitors!
Our host, NY Entrepreneurs Business Network (NYEBN), is a fast growing business network in the tri-state area. Founded in 2009, NYEBN has successfully organized 134 events to date. Each of our events gets rated and reviewed by real people. Transparency is everything for us! Besides, the management team at NYEBN believes that members' interests always come first. Currently NYEBN is comprised of over 12,100 members on Meetup (largest business Meetup) and close to 5,000 accounts on our mailing list. We bring our years of experience, customer relationships, and our existing network with investors and entrepreneurs to the 2012 expo. That makes us your ideal host!
Overall, we believe we have the best program to let you get the best bang for your buck. Consider our entire package: Attendees, Format, Education, Mentoring, Press, Networking, Location and Host. Where else can you get a good deal like this? No need to waste time and money on other inefficient and unproven marketing channels. Check out our current Exhibit Special @ http://nybusinessexpo.net/deal/, and reserve a booth today! Call us at [masked] or fill out the order form @ http://nybusinessexpo.net/exhibitor/new/. We look forward to hearing from you!

John Frankel was extremely friendly. Everything ran smoothly and it was a great networking experience. I enjoyed every part of it.
Very informative to what startups need when approaching VCs. Bringing this knowledge back to @advisoray : )
The speaker was engaging and provided an insiders look to the thought processes of VC firms.
