Hi Anna, With regard to Mohonk, a day pass (for hiking/walks/outside only) is $20 weekdays and $25 on weekends. The train and bus are too far from the entrance of the sight.

I will not be able to arrive early this evening. But I am happy to go in the museum even if I don't have a ticket for fireflies, but it is also great if I do. Where are we meeting?

Thanks, Anna for welcoming me to the group. The Mohonk Mountain House is my favorite place on earth! It has miles and miles of hiking trails on the 1,000-acre property on which the beautiful hotel sits. Just google it and you will be amazed by what is offered. A two-hour drive from NYC, day trips are available for hiking, especially beautiful in September. You can also go up for lunch and have access to the interior of the hotel as well as the grounds. Bucks county (Penn.) is lovely for drives.
